Submission Guidelines

 

Connecticut History seeks the following:

  • original research articles on a wide variety of topics, spanning all aspects of Connecticut’s history,
  • essays on special programs or holdings of historical societies and museums,
  • articles on history pedagogy and educational programs at both the collegiate and secondary level.

 

There is no set word length on articles.  In addition to articles, the journal accepts books for review from authors and publishers.

 

All authors desiring to submit original articles for publication consideration in Connecticut History may send an electronic copy of the proposed article, in Word .doc or .docx format to the editor.  The author’s name should not appear on the submission itself.  All articles should conform to the Chicago Manual of Style, utilizing endnotes.  Black and white photographs and illustrations are welcome.

 

Please provide both an e-mail and a USPS mail address so that the editor may contact you regarding the receipt and possible acceptance of the proposed article.  Articles and essays submitted to Connecticut History should not be submitted to any other publication while under consideration.
