Connecticut History, the only academic journal devoted to the history of Connecticut, is a publication of the Association for the Study of Connecticut History (ASCH). The journal publishes twice annually, in the spring and fall. The journal serves many different constituencies: museum and historical society professionals, academic scholars, history buffs, graduate students, and educators. Each issue of Connecticut History contains original articles, book reviews, website reviews and research notes on the history and culture of Connecticut.
The journal seeks original research articles on a wide variety of topics, spanning all aspects of Connecticut’s history. Connecticut History is also interested in essays on special programs or holdings of historical societies and museums, as well as articles on history pedagogy and educational programs at both the collegiate and secondary level. There is no set word length on articles. In addition to article submissions, the journal solicits authors and publishers who would like to have books reviewed. Click here for submission guidelines.
